Month 1 (March 24–April 20, 2020)
On March 24, 2020, in direct response to the global coronavirus pandemic, artist Piotr Szyhalski created his first COVID-19: Labor Camp Report. What started as a single drawing slowly morphed into a daily practice, a way to reconcile and record the thoughts, feelings, and change being wrought in the world. These ink drawings and hand-lettered texts are shared daily by Szyhalski on Instagram, poignantly capturing our politically fraught and excruciatingly painful landscape. The ongoing series, currently 49 days and counting, operates as both a witness to the current crisis and a container of time, our time, that is both labored and lost.
In collaboration with Frank, Szyhalski’s Daily COVID-19: Labor Camp Reports have been transformed into limited edition postcards. The postcards are currently available in four distinct weeklong sets of time. Each week contains seven postcards and comes with a suite of seven Forever stamps, allowing the cards to be either mailed or collected.
Take the time that you need back, or share this lost time with others, by supporting the labor of the US Postal Service. For while sharing across digital platforms is wide reaching and expansive, Szyhalski & Frank also believe, wholeheartedly, in the humble and unanticipated moment of joy that can come from the unexpected encounter with a work of art, be it in person or in the mail.
US orders will be mailed to your door at no additional cost through the USPS
International shipping costs apply
PO Boxes are happily accepted
